"Songs Of The Dead" - published in GUD #0, Spring 2007.

...imagines a brief period in the youth of nineteenth century poet William Blake ...the story isn’t whimsical in any way. It’s almost like a slice of life that takes an
unexpected turn. The characters are well thought out and have enough verve to keep the story interesting.
Definitely check out “Songs of the Dead.”

This is a 13,000 word novelette co-written by myself and Sarah Singleton, taking up over 30 pages of GUD magazine's first published issue.
It was a thrill to write something with Sarah,
and the people at GUD have been terrific.
